Module 1 – Learning Creative Writing- From Idea to First Draft
Creative writing in early education is not about producing perfect grammar or polished stories. It is about helping children imagine, experiment, and communicate. When introduced well, it develops thinking skills, vocabulary, emotional intelligence, and confidence. This program will explore what creative writing truly means for young learners, why it matters, and how to build the right environment for it.

Module 2 – Building Rich Sentences and Writing Flow
Connectors – joining ideas and improving sentence flow. Sequencing – arranging ideas/events in logical order. Expanding Sentences – adding detail using grammar tools like adjectives, adverbs, prepositional phrases. Vocabulary – Tier 1 & Tier 2 words, contextual usage, word choice. Punctuation – capital letters, full stops, commas, exclamation marks, question marks, quotation marks.

Module 3: Bringing Stories to Life
Up until now, you have learned how to generate ideas, organise them, and expand your sentences using connectors, grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation. In this module, we step into the exciting world of literary devices — the special tools writers use to make their stories feel real, rich, and unforgettable. These devices help a reader see the world you are creating, feel what your characters feel, and hear the sounds in your story. By learning how to set the scene, show instead of tell, use similes, and write engaging dialogues, you will transform your writing from a list of events into a world your reader can step into.

Module 4 : Assessments and Feedback for Creative Writing (K–5)
In early writing stages, assessment is not about correcting spelling and grammar alone — it is about observing growth, nurturing expression, and encouraging effort. This module helps teachers evaluate writing meaningfully using age-appropriate tools and techniques.

Module 5: Curriculum Design and Lesson Planning for Creative Writing
By the end of this module, participants will be able to: Understand how to build a developmentally appropriate creative writing curriculum. Align lesson plans with stage-wise learning outcomes, competency-based goals, and creative thinking strategies. Design weekly and daily creative writing lessons across Pre-Primary, Grades 1–2, and Grades 3–5 using structured scaffolding. Integrate activities, assessments, prompts, and reflection techniques into writing blocks.

Module 6 : Wrapping It Up: Reflect, Assess, Celebrate
Dear Teacher, You didn’t just finish a course — you’ve completed a transformation. From idea generation to lesson planning, from sensory writing to assessments — you now hold a toolkit that can turn hesitant scribbles into confident storytelling. And more importantly, you’ve reignited your own creative spark.
